Maureen O'Callaghan
Founder of the Tara School of Reflexology, Reflexologist, Registered Tutor.
Maureen O’Callaghan has been a Reflexology Practitioner for over 20 years and is a qualified Reflexology teacher. She runs a successful practice located at The Palms Health and Wellbeing Centre in Gorey, County Wexford. She established the Tara School of Reflexology in 2013 where she teaches Classical Reflexology.
Maureen is a Holistic Therapist. She is a Reiki Master, Artist’s Way Tutor, and a certified Practitioner in Meditation and Mindfulness. Her vision is to assist in promoting her clients’ holistic wellbeing.
She has served on the board of the Irish Reflexologists’ Institute of Ireland for a number of years as its Educational Director.
‘One of my favourite mantras is “Your Health is your Wealth”. Over the years I have listened to what my body is telling me and have taken the appropriate action or inaction. I have always wanted to support others similarly, to help them to move through their lives in a healthy, loving and balanced way.
I have seen clients achieve their goals after acknowledging the compassionate and nurturing healer that is within all of us. I have witnessed the power within my clients, as they journey through their illness and access the strength and resilience within themselves, enabling them to emerge on the other side healthy and balanced. I have specialised in maternity care, cancer care, blood pressure problems, obesity, asthma, and anxiety issues. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with my students, always encouraging professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
Now that reflexology is becoming recognised, it is even more essential that practitioners maintain this level of professionalism going forward. I am determined to work towards integrating reflexology successfully with mainstream medicine and promoting an awareness of the importance and benefits of holistic health and wellbeing.’

With more than 20 years of experience in holistic therapies, our aim is to provide knowledge of healing therapies and to offer professional teaching that will benefit our students mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually in a holistic environment.
Our Goal
We provide our students with a comprehensive academic and practical knowledge of reflexology and reiki in a stimulating, nurturing, and professional learning environment. Newly qualified reflexologists and reiki practitioners will be given ongoing support through an existing professional network.
Location
The Tara School of Reflexology is located at The Palms Health and Wellbeing Centre in Gorey, County Wexford. The Palms is a specialised centre dedicated to the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of the Gorey community and surrounding areas. Therapists at the centre are trained to the highest standards and pride themselves on the quality of service they provide. Privacy and ethics are always a priority. Tara School of Reflexology is accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapies (FHT), the Irish Reflexology Institute (IRI), the Association of Complementary Therapists of Ireland (ARCHTI) and the Association of Physical and Natural Therapists (APNT).
